Bus passes

Bus services serve our four hospital sites. An annual bus pass will give you a year's travel with up to a 30 percent discount. You can use the pass whenever you want, not just for work. You can also by daily, weekly and monthly tickets.

Park & Ride scheme

The Trust is running a scheme whereby staff can park at three of the Oxford Park & Ride sites and then travel free on the bus to any of the Headington sites.

Please ask for further details when you join us.

Cycling

We do encourage you to cycle to work, and we have lockable bicycle parking and many other cycle parking areas around our hospital sites, indicated by bicycle icons on the hospital site maps.

Staff can also benefit by purchasing a bike through the Cycle2Work salary sacrifice scheme.

Cycle2Work salary sacrifice scheme

You can access the scheme through your mylifestyle account for which you will have received login details.

If you are a new starter to the Trust you should shortly receive an email confirming your login details to mylifestyle.

Car share

Share your journey to work - you don't need to live in the same street or postcode, as sharers can be picked up en-route.

You will be able to share fuel costs with your sharer, reduce the cost of your annual parking permit and you will only need one permit per vehicle.

Parking

There is limited staff parking on all our sites and there is no on street parking.

Eligibility for a staff parking permit is based on the commute, shift patterns and access to public transport, including the Oxford Park & Ride sites.

A parking permit does not guarantee a space, and alternatives need to be sought should no staff car parking spaces be available across OUH sites.

Staff car parks are indicated on hospital site maps.

Rail season ticket loans

If you want to travel to work by train, you can apply for an annual season ticket loan.

Once approved the Trust will reimburse you the cost of your ticket (minus one month's payment). You then repay the loan by monthly deductions from your salary.

Motorcycles

There are areas set aside for motorcycle parking on our sites, which is free. These are indicated by motorcycle icons on the hospital site maps.
