Through its affiliation to the University of Oxford, the Bone Infection Unit is highly involved in clinical and laboratory-based research.

The unit is globally renowned for its academic contributions to the field and for its local, national and international collaborations aimed primarily at improving the medical and surgical management of bone and joint infections.

The unit has developed a large number of new interventions, tools and protocols, many of which have been adopted by learned societies as the standard of care internationally.

Patients managed by the Bone Infection Unit may be given the opportunity to participate in a number of clinical trials or other forms of medical research, and we are keen to facilitate this whenever possible.

Please don't hesitate to ask for further details at any time.
