Paediatric Neurology

The services we offer include:

• a weekly regional one stop neuromuscular disease MDT clinic
  
• a regional service for children with difficult epilepsy
  
• a regional neuro-oncology service with paediatric neurosurgery and paediatric oncology
  
• a regular movement disorder service
  
• a regional and district diagnostic service for children with complex neurological problems, including neurological support to PICU and paediatric neurosurgery
  
• input to the National Commissioning Group (NCG) funded Congenital Myasthenia Service, Neuromyelitis Optica and Neurofibromatosis Type 2
• six consultant paediatric neurologists providing a 24 hour emergency on-call service for paediatric neurology to the district and the region.

Outreach clinics are provided at district hospitals in:

• Kettering
  
• Milton Keynes
  
• Northampton
  
• Reading
  
• Slough
  
• Swindon
  
• Wycombe.

The paediatric neurologists provide regular ward rounds to the children's neurosurgical ward.
