Digoxin

Also known as: Lanoxin

Specimen requirements

Adult Sample Type: Serum (gold/yellow top SST)

Paediatric Sample Type: Plasma (orange top paediatric tube)

Collection requirements: Requests for digoxin will also include a creatinine, potassium, calcium and magnesium (which enable a digoxin result to be interpreted correctly). Specimens should be collected six hours post-dose.
