Reference intervals

  • Normal protein-to-creatinine ratio in pregnancy is <30 mg/mmol creatinine
  • Normal protein-to-creatinine ratio in non-pregnant adults <15 mg/mmol creatinine
  • Values >350mg/mmol can be termed as being in the nephrotic range, however nephrotic syndrome also requires low serum albumin and oedema
