Digital Surveillance Clinic

The Digital Surveillance Clinic takes place at Oxford Eye Hospital.

It includes extra images and a scan, which gives a more detailed examination. This is usually because we have found diabetic changes which may need to be monitored more closely. On the day you will see a screener who can show you the images and answer any questions you have. The images will then be reviewed by a doctor.

Slitlamp Biomicroscopy Clinic

Slitlamp Biomicroscopy Clinics take place at Oxford Eye Hospital and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

It is a clinic for patients whose eyes can't be examined through retinal photography. This may be because their eyes don't respond to the dilation drops, or it could be because of cataracts or some other reason.

Ophthalmology Clinics

These take place at Oxford Eye Hospital.

You are likely to have images and scans of your eyes, and then see an ophthalmologist who will discuss the findings with you.
