Community links

It can be very daunting being discharged home from hospital following a subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH).

Many people will have ongoing symptoms and feel worried and vulnerable. Having someone just to listen can be the difference between a good day and a bad one.

As a group we believe in having someone to talk to, a 'community link', in each area, who understands your experience.

This is a former patient who has recovered well, and who feels they are able to offer some reassurance to those who have just been discharged home.

They can be a point of contact if someone wants to meet up for outside the group. They are not responsible for managing care needs, but may be able to offer advice to people who are finding things difficult.
