Appointment of Chief Operating Officer announced

03/06/2024
Felicity Taylor-Drewe

Felicity Taylor-Drewe will take up the role of Chief Operating Officer of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in October 2024.

Felicity is currently Chief Operating Officer at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Before taking up this role in August 2021, she was Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Divisional Director for Surgery at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Professor Meghana Pandit, Chief Executive Officer, said: "I am delighted that following interviews on 22 April I am now able to announce that we appointed Felicity Taylor-Drewe as our Chief Operating Officer.

"I look forward to working closely with Felicity when she joins us here at OUH later this year. She has a strong track record of leading teams in delivering clinical services and standards, so that patients receive high quality treatment in the most appropriate care setting in a timely way.

"She also has a clear passion for integration of services across organisational barriers, in order to improve care pathways for patients."

Felicity Taylor-Drewe said: "I'm looking forward to joining the team at OUH later this year, to support the operational and wider workforce in the ever-changing landscape of our NHS.

"I am ambitious about ensuring local people get the care they need in the right place. This involves looking at how we can work more collaboratively with partner organisations, not only to provide quality care in hospital but also to support patients to return to their place of residence at the earliest opportunity."

Lisa Glynn, who is currently Director of Clinical Services at OUH, will be Acting Chief Operating Officer for the period between Sara Randall retiring from OUH and the NHS in July and Felicity Taylor-Drewe joining the Trust in October.

Professor Pandit said: "I am confident that with her experience and skills, Lisa is well placed to lead our teams in the interim period to continue the delivery of compassionate and excellent care – she will take up the role of Acting Chief Operating Officer on Monday 22 July."
