Professor Robin Choudhury MA, DM, FRCP, FESC
Appointed in 2005, Professor Choudhury practises General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology and specialises in coronary heart disease, coronary intervention and in the management of cardiac and cardio-metabolic risk.
He trained in Oxford, London (Royal Brompton / Hammersmith) and New York (Mount Sinai Medical Centre). He is a past President of the Royal Society of Medicine Section on Lipids, Metabolism and Vascular Risk. Professor Choudhury has lead multiple clinical trials in cholesterol modifying therapies and novel treatments of atherosclerosis and is an expert advisor to NICE in that area. He has contributed to many national and international studies in cardiovascular disease and published over 150 peer-reviewed research articles.
Professor Choudhury is current Chair of the British Cardiovascular Society Clinical Study Group on Atherothrombosis. He aims to inform and empower patients and public in medical matters and is a regular contributor to the health pages of The Spectator.

Dr James Gamble MA, DM, MRCP
Dr James Gamble specialises in implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators and related devices), heart failure and general cardiology. He implants large volumes of pacemakers and defibrillators annually as a particular specialist in these procedures.
He trained in Cambridge and Oxford.

Professor David Taggart
Prof David Taggart has been a consultant cardiac surgeon in Oxford since 1995 and a Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Oxford since 2003.
His clinical and academic interests are in all aspects of the surgical management of coronary artery disease and especially the use of arterial grafts and 'off-pump' surgery (avoiding the use of a 'bypass' machine).
He has published over 120 peer-reviewed research articles and is internationally recognised for his work in this field.
He is the immediate Past-President of the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery and currently sits on several European Task Forces guiding the optimal management of coronary artery disease.
