Oxford Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Group

The BRA group is a support group set up by the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department for women who have either previously undergone, are currently awaiting, or are considering breast reconstruction.

Breast Reconstruction Awareness - logo

This is an opportunity to meet the Breast Reconstruction Specialist Nurses and a Plastic Surgery Consultant, as well as other people considering, or who have undergone, breast reconstructive surgery

Meetings usually include a brief introduction to types of breast reconstruction and a description of what to expect in hospital, followed by an opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed setting.

There is also a 'show and tell' as part of the meeting, where patients who have already had reconstructive surgery will show you their results and talk with you about their experience.

If you have already had your reconstructive surgery, and would like to attend this session to support patients considering having a reconstruction, we would love to have you!

It is always good to have a variety of postoperative patients (implants, DIEP (tummy)/LD (back) reconstruction, recent nipple reconstruction or other procedures (lipofilling, micropigmentation etc.).

Please email us with your availability and for further information.
