Support is available for career development at every level of a research journey.
An NMAHPPS lead for research has been appointed in each of OUH's Divisions to develop research capability and capacity and support research education and training.
OUH recognises that embedding research into clinical work not only enhances the professional development of NMAHPPS but also leads to improvements in patient care and enhanced services.
An important element in our NMAHPPS research is our partnership with Oxford Brookes University, especially its Oxford Institute of Applied Health Research (OxInAHR).
The Trust works in partnership with the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre Training Hub to support this development. This activity is led in the Trust by Professor Helen Walthall, the Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Research and Innovation, and supported by the four Divisional leads for NMAHPPS Research and Innovation.
