OUH Nursing Research Priority Setting Partnership
Research is essential for enhancing patient care and improving how healthcare is delivered.
Nurses are at the forefront of patient care and are ideally placed to identify what research needs to be carried out.
This project aims to establish the top ten research priorities for nurses at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH), through an inclusive process that involves nurses, patients and their carers.
We will use a modified version of the James Lind Alliance (JLA) approach, which uses Priority Setting Partnerships (PSPs) involving clinicians, patients and carers to identify and prioritise the most important questions that could be answered by research.
Get involved
We would like to work with patients and their carers who have received nursing care from Oxford University Hospitals. We want to gather their perspectives and experiences to understand what they believe our nursing priorities should be.
If you are, or have been, a patient or carer at the Trust, and would like to help us to establish these research priorities, all you have to do is complete this survey and let us know your thoughts about our nursing care.
Have your say!

More about the project
During the initial phase, we will conduct a survey of patients, their carers and nurses at the Trust.
After analysing the surveys that have been submitted, we will assess which are the most important unanswered questions.
We will then hold a workshop involving patients, carers and nurses to select the top ten priorities for future.
We believe if patients, carers and health professionals agree the areas where there is a need for research, it makes that research more meaningful for the people who will benefit from it.
