Taking your Blood Pressure (BP) at home

You may find this Blood Pressure Diary (Excel spreadsheet) helpful. Please save it to your computer and use it to write the results of your blood pressure readings.

If you can, please measure your blood pressure in the morning and afternoon in the week before you see or speak to your Renal Team.

There is more information on the spreadsheet:

Exercise

Exercise is important for physical and mental health. The information below may help you - please check with a health professional that it is safe for you to exercise.

If you are on dialysis, your healthcare professional can offer you advice about exercising with your dialysis access.

Videos

These exercise videos will help you exercise at home. When you start, don't do too much at once; steadily build up the amount you do.

Make it more fun by involving someone you live with, or share the video with friends so you can exercise virtually together.

This video has been developed in conjunction with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

If you would prefer a leaflet, please ask one of our staff for a copy.
