Upper limb assessment for children

If you are referred for an upper limb assessment, be prepared for approximately an hour of fun activities.

Please bring splints you may use and a sleeveless vest with you.

This is what will happen when you come.

  • First, we would like to know a little bit about you and what you think about the way you use your hand and arm. We will ask you and your parents some questions to find out.
  • We will assess your strength and how your shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers move.
  • We then video the assessment, which is either a play session or a few activities.
