Council of Governors Appoint Two New Non-Executive Directors

Paul Dean and Claire Feehily have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for an initial term of three years each.

The Trust's Council of Governors, which includes elected representatives of the public and staff, approved the appointments at its meeting on Monday 3 April 2023.

Paul Dean will join the Trust Board on 5 September 2023 and Claire Feehily will join the Trust Board on 1 December 2023.
They will replace two long-standing Non-Executive Directors, Paula Hay-Plumb (who is also the Audit Committee Chair) and Anne Tutt (who is also the Vice-Chair), whose terms of office end on 4 September and 30 November 2023 respectively.

Paul Dean, who will be the new Audit Committee Chair when he joins the Trust Board in September, lives in West Oxfordshire and is a Trustee of the Oxford Trust which is an independent charitable trust whose mission is to encourage the pursuit of science.

Paul is a chartered management accountant with extensive Audit Chair and Chief Finance Officer experience gained in a range of multi-national companies.

He has worked in both private equity and PLC environments, including FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies.

Claire Feehily lives in Gloucestershire and is Vice Chair of the Brandon Trust, which provides Learning Disability services in Oxfordshire.

She is a qualified accountant with extensive experience gained in a range of Executive, Non-Executive and Trustee Board positions.

A former Chair of Healthwatch Gloucestershire, Claire is currently a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – this role will end in Summer 2023 before she joins the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Board.
