Our Domestic Services roles include Housekeepers and Housekeeping Supervisors.

Housekeepers

Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital, working both individually or as part of a team to provide a pleasant and safe environment for our patents, staff and visitors.

They also support the nursing team with serving meals, snacks and drinks to patients on the wards.

If you like working with people, and as part of a team - and especially if you have some previous cleaning experience - this could be the perfect role for you!

No two days are alike, and you would be making a real difference to hospital life for our patients, and for the nurses and doctors caring for them.

Housekeeping Supervisors

Be part of the small supervisory team that ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of housekeeping and linen services - the provision of bedding and hospital garments - at the Horton General Hospital and Katharine House Hospice.

Our Houskeeping Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained in line with national NHS regulations, and that the hospital remains a fit and proper environment for the care of patients.

They also support our staff in areas such as arranging 'protected mealtimes' - during which patients can take their time to eat properly, without being disturbed by healthcare routines on the wards.
