YiPpEe - Young People's Executive
The Young People's Executive (YiPpEe) is a group of young people aged 11 to 19 years old, who voice opinions and make suggestions on a range of topics and issues at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH).
The group was created to ensure that young people are represented and are included in our patient experience conversations too.
YiPpEe is important to give children and young people a voice and explore and share ideas to improve our services.
The group's members use their own experiences to guide and support the hospital, helping staff to understand what young people want and need in healthcare settings.
Become a member
YiPpEe is open to young people aged between 11 to 19 years old who:
- have recent experience of being a patient in hospital
- are the sibling of someone who has recent experience of being a patient in hospital
- have a keen interest in healthcare and making sure young people's voices are heard.
As a YiPpEe member, you'll have lots of opportunities to learn and be recognised for your contribution.
YiPpEe provides the chance to meet new people and build new skills, such as how to speak with decision-makers, and interviewing.
A member of YiPpEe also sits on the OUH Council of Governors.
The members can include YiPpEe activities on their Curriculum Vitae (CV) or university applications.
