Appointment of Deputy Chief Executive Officer announced

Simon Crowther will take up the role of Deputy Chief Executive of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on Monday 30 September 2024.

Simon is currently Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Chief Executive at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

He is also the lead Chief Finance Officer for the Provider Collaborative in Derbyshire, Chair of the Midlands Finance Academy Board, and Trustee of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Simon has formerly held roles at Board level in a number of NHS organisations, and throughout his career has worked across different sectors and health communities within the NHS.

As Deputy Chief Executive Officer at OUH, Simon will focus on areas including strategy, planning, transformation, improvement and innovation, and delivery of the Annual Plan. He will also deputise for the Chief Executive Officer as and when required.

Professor Meghana Pandit, Chief Executive Officer, said: "I am delighted that following interviews on 11 March I am now able to announce that we appointed Simon Crowther as our Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

"I look forward to working closely with Simon when he joins us here at OUH later this year. His knowledge and experience will strengthen the Board's leadership and I am sure that OUH colleagues and our partners at Place and System levels will join me in giving him a warm welcome when he starts in post."
