The BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) group
The BRA group is a support group set up by the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department for women who have either previously undergone, are currently awaiting or are considering breast reconstruction.
This may be following cancer treatment, or following surgery to reduce the risk of cancer in high-risk patients.
This is a brilliant group where you will meet the Breast Reconstruction Specialist Nurses and a Plastic Surgeon, and also meet other patients considering breast reconstructive surgery.
You can attend a 'show and tell' session with postoperative patients who have already undergone breast reconstructive surgery.
Our team consists of medical and non-medical staff with a common goal to strive for clinical excellence and an optimised patient experience.
